We offer our Members the opportunity to have clinical appointments with our network of healthcare professionals called Associated Practitioners (APs). These professionals are qualified as osteopaths, chartered physiotherapists, McTimoney chiropractors and acupuncturists.

To find your nearest AP, just put in your postcode and the nearest practitioners (in a radius of 30 miles) will appear as flags on the map. Please click on the flags to find out more details about each practitioner. Alternatively, just click on the flags in your area of the country.

Warrington Arthritis Action Group @ Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub
      Feb 16 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Please join us at our Warrington Arthritis Action Group with Chris Everett, Senior Community Librarian, Warrington Libraries. We will be talking about the Reading Well Scheme.

The event will provide an opportunity to meet others living in your area with arthritis, share hints and tips and  to let us know what you would like to gain from the Self-Management Approach.

      About the speaker:

Chris has worked for Warrington libraries for nearly 14 years, currently as Community and Stock Librarian, one of the 3 full time staff members. Since Community Library Team became part of Livewire, in 2012, they have been able to work more closely with leisure and lifestyles colleagues, to provide a better holistic offer for the health and well-being of the people of Warrington.

Chris firmly believes that there is a book out there for everyone – you just might not have found it yet. Being able to enjoy reading is a real mood and confidence booster.

      About the talk:

Chris will discuss how much of library work nowadays revolves around “bibliotheraphy”, or reading for health and well-being. This is the basis for many of the community projects and is highlighted in many library promotions such as the ‘Mood Boosting’, and will introduce you to the ‘Reading Well’ collections.
