Part of a network of Active Partnerships across the country, they aim to help everyone in Merseyside feel the benefits of getting and staying active. MSP supports the ‘We Are Undefeatable’ campaign, which inspires people with a range of long-term health conditions to be active and have a signposting webpage specifically for people in Merseyside living with long term-health conditions to help them get active locally.

It’s not about being able to run faster, swim further or be better at sport it’s about the real, genuine benefits that can improve an individual’s life and make them feel good. Fit For Me has a wealth of information and advice to help people to get active, stay fit and ultimately sustain a healthier lifestyle. Walking for Health

Providing local organised health walks throughout Sefton, the Active Walks Programme is free, volunteer led with a variety of different routes including coastal paths, nature trails and local parks. Walks are designed for all ages and abilities to join in and with no booking required, there’s no better time start getting more active! A quarterly Health Walks Programme is available to view or download online and direct contact can also be made with the Active Walks Coordinator for further details and/or any specific concerns.

Age UK Wirral

An independent local charity working in the community to support older people, their families and carers, Age UK Wirral promotes the wellbeing of older people on the Wirral, helping to make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. Offering a variety of services, ongoing social activities and regular events their Health & Activity programmes are based at Meadowcroft in Bromborough, where an exciting range of physical, mental and socially stimulating activities are organised. A full timetable of activities (including Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates and Line Dancing to name but a few) can be found via their website.

Walking for Health

Fun, free and friendly health walks perfect for encouraging local people get outdoors, get active as well as meet new people. With no booking required, either register online via the website or simply turn up at the start point of one of the walks 10 minutes early, so the trained Volunteer Leader can take your details and answer any questions and/or concerns you may have. A full list of walks are available to view or download online and direct contact can also be made with the Coordinator for further details and/or any specific concerns.
