Tees Valley Sport

Active Partnership

One of 43 Active Partnerships in England, working with local authority partners across the Tees Valley including  Redcar & Cleveland, Stockton on Tees, Middlesbrough, Darlington and Hartlepool, Active Partnerships are tasked with rolling out the local delivery of Sport England initiatives to get people, more active, more often. People living in the Tees Valley are amongst the least active in the country with less than 50% of the adult population undertaking the minimum levels of physical activity recommended to promote good health. By being inactive these people are missing out on the social, mental, economic and physical health benefits of physical activity, which is why Tess Valley Sport strive offers a variety of programmes encouraging inactive people to get active by successfully introducing exercise into everyday life and ultimately maintaining a healthier lifestyle.
