Tees Valley Sport

Active Partnership

One of many Active Partnerships in England, working with local authority partners across the Tees Valley including  Redcar & Cleveland, Stockton on Tees, Middlesbrough, Darlington and Hartlepool, Active Partnerships are tasked with rolling out the local delivery of Sport England initiatives to get people, more active, more often. People living in the Tees Valley are amongst the least active in the country with less than 30% of the adults doing fewer than 30 minutes of physical activity a week. By being inactive these people are missing out on the social, mental, economic and physical health benefits of physical activity, which is why Tees Valley Sport offers a variety of programmes encouraging inactive people to get active by successfully introducing exercise into everyday life and ultimately maintaining a healthier lifestyle.
