We want to extend a big thank you to Karen Hoban, who has stepped down from her role as a Trustee on the Arthritis Action Board, after six years in the post.
Following a career in IT in the City, Karen’s focus shifted to being a full-time mum to twin girls. This gave her the opportunity to pursue other interests and study for a BSc in Nutrition and Health at Roehampton University. As part of her dissertation she researched arthritis, and it was during this time that she became aware of Arthritis Action. After graduating, she worked as a Dietetic Assistant at Epsom General Hospital and with several weight management programmes, before returning to the City as a Research Analyst.
The Board and staff want to thank Karen for her valuable contributions and service over these past years, and wish her all the best for the future.
