Community Fundraising - Arthritis Action

Community Fundraising

Support from our local communities has never been as important as it is now. We are grateful for the fundraising done by individuals as well as groups and organisations across the UK. It’s inspiring to see people come together to support others affected by arthritis, especially when they know, first-hand, how life-limiting and altering living with pain can be and have benefited from learning how to self-manage arthritis.

You can fundraise for us in a way that suits you, from holding a coffee morning to online shopping. If you would like more information about how you can get involved, you can contact our Fundraising Manager on fundraising@arthritisaction.org.uk.

Below are a few examples of how local communities have fundraised for Arthritis Action:

Portsmouth Hospital Rheumatology Department

Our Trustee, Colin Beevor, and his Team have undertaken a number of baking challenges to help raise money for Arthritis Action, including Gingerbread houses before Christmas, Valentine’s Day cookies and Easter cupcakes.

Henfield Arthritis Fundraisers

Before social distancing rules came into effect, this wonderful local group met every six months in a local hall and shared a meal, often accompanied by a raffle and guest speakers.

Mahila Mandal Group

This Ladies Group is part of the Lohana Community in North London. They organised a musical evening that streamed live music via Zoom, bringing much joy and merriment to all involved.
