Supporting Someone with Arthritis
On Friday 11th of May, Our Group and Events Officer Leah Boylan gave a talk at the Home Instead care givers group meeting, entitled ‘Supporting Someone with Arthritis’. Leah’s talk touched upon the importance of staying active with arthritis, maintaining independence, considering emotional well-being, pacing of activities, and eating well with arthritis.
Home Instead is a Senior Care Company that provides care and support to enable people to stay in their own homes. They have both clients and staff with arthritis and found the information invaluable.
Implementing small changes to their care giving practice can help people with arthritis have a better quality of life, while retaining independence.
