Arthritis Action Trustee Colin Beevor and the team at the Rheumatology Department of Portsmouth Hospital are fundraising for Arthritis Action by decorating cakes around the theme of ‘A Bug’s Life’. Staff members are donating to vote for their favourite design.
The Rheumatology Department are no strangers to creative fundraising endeavours. The team has previously run a cookie decorating challenge for Valentine’s Day and a cupcake decorating challenge for Easter, together raising over £550.
The money raised will go towards offering tailored support for people living with arthritis around the country, helping to improve their quality of life and reduce painful symptoms. There are currently over 10 million people living with arthritis in the UK, making it the leading cause of pain and disability nationwide.
